Dallas Police Seek Murder Suspect Wanted for Shooting on Galicia Lane

On April 10, 2016, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 1100 block of Galicia Lane.

Upon arrival, officers located the home owner, Jose Nicolas Olivas Jr, Latin male 30-years-old, deceased laying in the door way of the residence. The victim had been shot several times with a handgun. A witness at the location stated that Suspect Cruz came over to the residence looking for his ex-girlfriend, who was not there and who had recently ended their relationship.

An argument between the victim escalated and Suspect Cruz shot and killed Mr. Olivas.

Cruz then fled the location and is still at large. Detectives are also looking into whether or not an aggravated assault offense from last night on Kittyhawk Ln. is related to this suspect. An arrest warrant for the offense of Murder has been issued for Danny Evelio Cruz.
